Blogging on location

Blogging from the Paris VII (Marie et Pierre Curie Institute) campus, since there's wifi here.

It's been a long day and I've only just had lunch.

Saw my parents off, or rather, they saw me into a cab to go to a hotel in the third, while they went off to CDG with rather less luggage than me. I know they're worried about me...it's all going to be okay, though.

Made it, at last, to the conference, where I found DK from Vienna, who I had been hoping to see, and we had huge salads for lunch and caught up about everything.

Cold and rainy today; I pulled out my fuzzy ocelot scarf.

Soon I will have a place to live! Soon.

In the meantime I very much enjoy seeing people I know from all over the world at conferences. It's kind of magical, how we all manage to find each other every time.
