No end to the jet-lag

Went down to the American consulate (took me a while to find it, walking around the Place de la Concorde) to get a list of approved translators for my birth certificate. Eh, my mom was right, I should have done this at home (but my guidebook said not to waste time or money doing it beforehand because every place has their own requirements! Ugh).

Another long shopping trip, this time at a department store. Spent a while looking for safety pins to pin up my blue skirt because I've changed sizes; no luck until I found pin backs in the craft section, settled for those. Did also find a transformer and a grounded adapter, which is very happy news; the former is for my non-dual voltage appliances, and the latter will make my computer happy.

Funny thing in the department store: a whole section of materials for repairing one's own shoes.

Ugh, short nap now before getting back to dealing with things.
