Had a rather productive and happy day today, not that I got everything done for this talk, mind you, but I'll deal with that when I deal with that. There are computers in Berlin, and there's not that much else to be done.
Did some random errands, most notably going to the police to file the police report for my stolen phone. Probably the most pleasant bureaucratic experience I've ever been party to in Paris.
Found some English-speaking computer repair people in the area on craigslist, wrote asking how they would go about doing an estimate. Somehow I'm not keen on sending my machine back to the states if I don't have to.
Oh...won't it be nice when my computer works again.
