Working

Last night had a very good conversation with Nn about modals; he's pretty sharp, and won't agree with something he doesn't agree with, even if he doesn't know why. As I told him, I win either way: either he's getting caught on something misleading in the exposition, or there's actually a problem with the theory, and either way it's good for me to talk to him. Then we talked about some stuff on comparatives he was working on. I don't really do comparatives myself, and I'm not sure if I had anything helpful to say, but I know how helpful it can be to just talk things out. After that we tried to go to dinner at this cheap Vietnamese place Js had taken me to, but they closed at 10, so we had a crépe dinner, yum.

I worked a lot yesterday, and it was good work, and I'm still so far from finishing anything. Everything just takes a lot longer than I expect. Oh well! More working today.
