Hi all...

Boy am I tired. I didn't sleep well at all... the church outside my hotel room rings every hour. Oh well, at least it doesn't ring the quarters.

Been enjoying hanging out with linguists, realizing anew that I do actually speak some French, because I sure as hell don't speak any German. Actually I'm not sure anymore what language things are in, or what to say to waiters.

The talks today were in English (that one I'm sure about), and some of them were quite interesting. The program today was part of a "French-German linguistics" collaboration between Stuttgart and Paris 8, so it's actually pretty amusing, or sad, that it was in English.

My talk tomorrow is going to be very interesting... need to spend some time tonight getting the math on the slides right, so not too much glühwein for me tonight. Everyone's going to the Christmas market...I will go too, but not for too long, not the night before my talk. Tomorrow night is party night.
