Back in Paris

Back in Paris. Had dinner at a nice traditional brasserie in rue St. Antoine, "Fontaine Sully." Reading a biography of Charles II that I picked up at Waterloo. It's by Antonia Fraser, my favorite historian.

It does feel kind of familiar to come back to where everyone is speaking French...

Ah. That is an installation at the Musée D'Orsay here in Paris. Apparently the artist has done a series of these, which all involve some manufactured object, some vegetable item, and some work regarded as a masterpiece. The museum's series "Correspondences" more generally allows contemporary artists to use famous paintings in installations.

Thank you for the package! Yay!
