It's all in my head

Well, in the sense that my eyes and my brain are in my head. But the verdict from the eye doctor is... no glasses can help me! Well, except for the drugstore +1.00 glasses that I got (after my mom only told me about one million times to get some). The glasses do help a little with looking at the screen. But I still feel like my forehead is permanently furrowed.

The eye doctor said, essentially, that my eyes are fine, apart from a slight asymmetry between my optic nerves, or something like that. But he is sending me to an "orthoptique" "orthoptiste" where they will do tests involving, among other things, prisms. Hrm. (This was mostly in French, so I am not sure I got all of this.) And then if the tests warrant it, I will go back to the orthoptiste a number of other times for "rééducation de la convergence". Does this kind of deal sound familiar to anyone?

Uh, I don't know. In the world of vision science, "accommodation" refers to the focusing of your eyes' lenses, and "convergence" refers to the way your eyes swivel towards each other when you fixate on an object. Maybe they want to help you converge your eyes better???
