Random

The text from this Disney ad on the métro seemed to me like fake French: "Allez Buzz L'Eclair! Tous contre Zurg! Ses robots n'ont aucune chance contre nos lasers! Touché! Encore touché! Je suis le meilleur ranger de l'espace!"

Yesterday I had a meeting with C (finally!), a nice chat with Rk and her friend S (we were able to sit outside under the heaters at Le Père Tranquille), and dinner with JD and some of his friends in the 12th.

By the way, tranquille is the other exception to the rule about pronouncing words that end in ille, where you actually do pronounce the l. The other two are mille 'thousand' and ville 'city', and I've had this vestigal memory from high school that there was a third, but I didn't figure out that it was tranquille until JD corrected me yesterday. Mystery solved!

Might be a smidge warmer today, but it's still pretty chilly. I will prolly walk to or from my orthoptiste appointment via the Viaduc des Arts, a raised green walkway that used to be an elevated railway.
