I was looking on craigslist for a bike, and wrote to someone who had one to sell. Turns out he was leaving Paris for good last night, and as we couldn't get in touch to do a transaction, he just left it for me... for free! People are nice.
It's a mountain bike, needs a bit of lovin', but hey, free bike! I picked it up in the 2nd this morning and had my first bike ride since leaving LA. It's going to take some time getting used to where the bike lanes are and which streets are one-way.
Tomorrow I'll take it to the place A recommended to me to get a new saddle and a rack for the back. And also give it some of that lovin' it needs.
