La métaphysique de la du strip-tease

No, really. This is what happens in a country that fetishizes philosophy almost as much as sex. You get a documentary -- ahem, a "documentary" -- on stripping that references, deadpan, the metaphysics of stripping.

On the program website we learn that:

« Strip » signifie « se déshabiller » ou « enlever », et « tease » peut se traduire par « agacer » ou « taquiner ». ("Strip means 'take one's clothes off' or 'take off', and tease can be translated as 'annoy' or 'tantalize'.")

We also learn how to spell strip-tiseuse.

We do not, however, learn why the programme's final credits are accompanied by video arcade music from circa, oh, 1985.

Perhaps it's the agacer bit.
