Sunny Saturday morning

I love sunny Saturday mornings. The sun comes in through my yellow curtains and all is well.

I went for a run, a shorter one this time. I might as well just wear a sign saying "AMERICAN" because I go out with my Red Sox hat and my MIT sweatshirt. But it doesn't matter. So sunny out, all the Haussman balcony rails shining in the sunlight. This bridge and that bridge, all with a bit of ice in the shadows. People out in couples, no families yet because kids have school Saturday morning. Dogs being walked. One tiny dog came running up to me, its owner yelling after it. I thought the dog might be off its leash and running away, so I stopped. It stopped to say hi. The owner stopped when she caught up and told me, "Il adore -- et a peur -- des joggers." ('He loves -- and is afraid of -- joggers.")
