It's been a busy week or so, and I need to catch up on blogging. I'm at home at the moment, with the contents of my closet strewn around me, because there was a leak in my hot water tank above the closet. So the plumber is in and out today dealing with taking out the old one and putting in the new one. My landlord is really good about getting these things done, so props to him.
JD and I went to a concert on Monday with Vashti Bunyan, Anna Trondheim, and Mi and L'au. JD is a fan of Vashti Bunyan, who did some things in the sixties and then just recently released her second album, 35 years later. It was pretty neat, and I got some photos, which I will post later.
Tuesday I had the massage JD had gotten me for my birthday... at La Bulle Kenzo. Oh my was that nice. It was a "rice and candles" massage. That is, they rub you with the rice, but not the candles. I spent the rest of the day floating... After that I went to the orthoptiste and had a real breakthrough with my far vision. I attribute it to the massage, even though my orthoptiste said she would have expected the massage to make me more relaxed and therefore not do as well. But I'm often backwards like that.
Lately I've been trying to finish a paper and sell my (landlord's) lumpy futon and oh, I finally got a phone to work with my internet box, and I can make free calls to the US, so let me know if you want my phone number. Anyway, I've been busy.
Oh, and J and G's baby made his appearance finally last week! I can't wait to meet him.
