Hat trick, and Sainte Geneviève comes through

My first day in Jerusalem, one of the vendors asked me, "Is your hat for sale?"

My second day in Jerusalem, one of the ticket takers said simply, "Is it for sale?" And when I asked, he said, "Your hat, it's very unusual!"

Today on the Pont Sully, a guy passing said, "C'est un beau chapeau!"

It's just a regular straw hat! My mom gave it to me for Christmas a few years back when I was first living in LA and needed to keep the sun off my face. I like it a lot, but I didn't think there was anything so remarkably special about it. But I'm glad it's so popular.

I'm now at the Bibliothèque Ste. Geneviève, and am happy, nay, ecstatic to report that my new carte rose means I can jump the line to get into the reading room to work. There's no line at this hour, but still, what an excellent thing!

The thing about your hat is that it's yours. I mean, look at you... beautiful... :*

Guys just try to find a way to talk to you.

But i agree, it's a very nice hat.
