Enjoying the Sunday routine

On Sunday, JD and I went to Les Associés for the third Sunday brunch in a row, and then we walked to the Musée D'Orsay. It was a sunny day; getting hot again. The heat had me feeling not very energetic, but there are a lot of places to sit inside the Musée D'Orsay. (I'm starting to feel that that's one of the marks of a good museum!) This time I got to see some of the things I hadn't before: the sculpture, the things on the first floor. And as always, spirited historical and artistic context provided by JD.

We stopped for a drink in the café behind one of the clocks on the top floor.

I left JD in a bookstore while I went home to call Jh and Cn (I went to college with Jh, and hung out with them a lot in Cambridge, and now they live in Chicago). That was great; and they're going to be coming through Paris in August, so it looks like I'm going to get to see them!

Afterwards JD and I went to his bro Fc's house in Vincennes to watch the France-South Korea game. It was kind of eh, and ultimately another match nul. But it was fun to see JD and Fc trading jokes, even if I still can't understand them. The jokes, that is. Well, actually, I'm not sure I understand the two of them, either... :)
