Bleah...

Today was almost a carbon copy of yesterday, except that I went to Monop' instead of the market, and I did manage to go for a run (new sport: racing the bateaux-mouches!). The thing is, my upper back and shoulders are bothering me so much, not to mention my eyes, I'm really getting nothing done and am feeling terribly run-down and exhausted.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day, as Scarlett says.

Went to couscous with W, the chef (did I blog about him earlier?). He's in town for three months just to learn about food, and had wanted to try couscous. We went to a place A had recommended, but honestly, our restaurant in St. Denis has better couscous, or the one I went to with Sn where I met his brother, in St. Michel. Still, the one in St. Denis is too far, and the one in St. Michel, I'm not sure if I could find it again... Anyway, I think W is pleased enough to have someone to eat with, since he doesn't really know anyone in town and doesn't speak French. And I'm pleased to talk to a foodie from LA. (Roscoe's Chicken 'n' Waffles, anyone?) Our next culinary adventure is fondue, some time when it's colder out.

I hear a lot of you have a lot of snow over there... and some travel plans have had to be cancelled... I hope at least the winter wonderland aspect of it all is fun!

...yes, valentines day in the Bahavemeyer was quite lovely actually. Who needs beaches when you can generate warmth yourselves?
